Spectators quickly recognised him, despite👍 him wearing a cap to help cover his appearance.

And it didn't take long for the boozy crowd to throw some light-hearted Tractor Boys banter his way.

Footage shows Sheeran sat at a table in the arena, waiting for the action to comme♛nce.

Those around him can be heard singing 'Ipswich get battered, everywhere they go' at him.

Someone on his table, meanwhile, clearly found the whole orde✃al hilarious and stood up, pumping his fi🥂st along to the singing.

Sheeran eventually raised his cup to th💛ose singing at him before continuing in conversation with his pals.

The crowd also had plenty of fun by peer-pressuring Sheeran to downℱ his pint, to which the four-෴time Grammy winner obliged.

Dozens of fans above the hospitality area chanted, 'Have you ever seen Sheeran down a pint', and it didn't take long before it reverberated around the venue.

Impressively, Sheeran stood up and finished his p♔int each time the crowd chanted and placed his empty cup on top of his head.

Shౠeeran soon built up quite the stack of cups and was incredibly gracious with fans who came up to him seeking a photograph.
