Lee Cattermole has been named as interim boss of Bristol Rovers just four days after joining the club.
🌠It comes after the League One club took the decision to sack manager Matt Taylor and his assistant Wayne Carlisle.
💟The former Middlesbrough and Sunderland man joined Rovers on Thursday, December 12, as a member of the coaching team.
♏His role was to focus on the development and implementation of set pieces.
🌃But just four days later, Cattermole joins David Horseman as joint-interim boss while the Gas search for a new permanent manager.
Cattermole and Horseman could be in charge for the weekend's home clash with Wrexham.

Ex-manager Taylor spoke fondly of Cattermole after his appointment, but admitted that he was a 'club appointment'.
🥂He said: "It’s good to welcome Lee to the Club. The Club have advertised for a position in the coaching department, and someone of Lee’s experience certainly fits the bill.
🎉"He’s young in terms of his coaching career but has played the game at a top, top level and has always led teams. He’s been in a high position in squads and changing rooms, and we’re looking forward to seeing what he adds to the group.”
ꦯTaylor added: "He started on Thursday, and Thursdays are always busy days for us. He’s had to hit the ground running. Everyone has been making their introductions, and then we’ve been through a normal, busy Thursday.

"When the dust settles, we’ll have time to sit down with him and talk through each other's expectations. I’m looking forward to working with him. He’s got a fantastic reputation in the game, and it seems the right sort of character too.”
However just a matter of days later, the former Premier League coach will be leading the Gas after Taylor's sacking.
🍸The decision comes in the aftermath of a 2-0 defeat against Birmingham City on Saturday.
𓂃That loss was their third in a row in League One, leaving them with just one win in their last seven league fixtures.
☂As a result, Bristol Rovers sit in 20th position in the table.
🎃Cattermole started his career with Middlesbrough after progressing through their youth academy and going on to make 91 appearances.
ꦍThat included five appearances on the UEFA Cup, most notably playing five minutes of the UEFA Cup final in 2006.
ౠUnder then-boss Gareth Southgate, Cattermole was sold to Wigan before joining Sunderland one year later.
🍒At the Stadium Of Light he made 262 appearances before joining Dutch side VVV-Venlo where he ended his playing career.
ꦦSince then, Cattermole has moved into coaching and rejoined Middlesbrough as an academy coach, before becoming boss of he under-18s side.
🦩He was also part of the interim coaching team that took charge after Chris Wilder was sacked as Boro boss in 2022.
