🐭On a day when Ben Roethlisberger put up huge numbers (39-of-60, 452 yards, three touchdowns, 104.3 rating) for the Steelers, Mahomes was even sharper.

In just his third game -- Mahomes had started the Chiefs' final 2017 regular-season contest as a rookie -- the No. 10 overall pick of the 2017 draft completed 23-of-28 passes for 326 yards, six TDs and a 154.8 rating.

Outside of five incompletions, Mahomes was peꦉrfect.

His six TD passes tied the most allowed by the Steelers in franchise history -- Buffalo Bills Hall of Famer Jim Kelly reached the s💖ame mark in 1991.

Kansas City scored 21 points in the first quarter, then 21 more in the second half, outdueli𝐆ng the Steelers before their towel-waving faithful𒀰.

The Chiefs were 2-0, soon to start 9-1, and would advance all the way to the AFC Championship against Tom Brady's New England Patriots.

It all started with Mahomes, who announced to the NFL in just his second start of his f✃irst full season that he was about to change the league.

Kansas City instantly knew it ha⛦d something ♒special in No. 15.

After Mahomes threw six TDs and led the Chiefs to their first win inside the Steel City in 32 years, Andy Reid's biggest challenge as Kansas City's head coach was keeping surging expectations in check.
